The Szigeti Quartet was formed in 2017 of leading budapest orchestras’ concertmaster and principals, brought together by the love for the genre string quartet, enforced by many years of chamber music experience, alloying artistic comlexity with musical freshness. It’s members are multiple prizewinners of competitions, regular guests of prestigious chamber music festivals in various countries from the United States through most countries in Europe to Japan. Fascinating debut was made by the Szigeti Quartet early 2018, performing Beethoven’s quartet in E flat major, op. 127 in the Beethoven String Quartet Week, followed by standing ovation. In the season 2018-2019 they start their own concert series in Budapest with guest artists like György Konrád, Márta Gulyás and Gustav Rivinius.
